Adjusting our Services During COVID-19 Emergency

UPDATE, March 18: Based on the latest health recommendations, our office is temporarily closed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. Current Members are encouraged to contact their coach and staffing specialist via phone, text or email.

We will continue to help in whatever way we can, including connecting you to jobs with our employer partners. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept new Members at this time.

In an effort to balance public safety and pursuit of our mission, Cincinnati Works will remain open through the current public-health emergency but will shift to remote services whenever possible, including career coaching and financial coaching.

Our office at 708 Walnut Street will remain open Mondays and Thursdays so our Members can utilize our job-search resources, and we will continue to hold orientation sessions on those days for anyone who wishes to become a Member. We will be open by appointment only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and our office will be closed on Fridays.

Our coaches will be available for in-person coaching sessions on a limited basis Monday through Thursday. They will be available via phone, text, video chat or email throughout the week.

We recognize that this is a trying time for many of our Members, not only because of the threat of illness but because of the economic uncertainty and the impact it may have on their employment. We remain committed to connecting Members with the help they need to find and keep a job.

At the same time, we owe it to our community to help limit the spread of COVID-19 by reducing contact. In addition to having more virtual coaching sessions and fewer staff members in the office, we will limit the class size for orientation and JumpStart so we can adhere to social-distancing standards.

We will continue to monitor the situation, and we are prepared to adjust our plans to meet the changing nature of the emergency and the needs of our Members.
