Utilities:
- Duke Energy – will not disconnect
- Spectrum Cable – free internet for low-income families with students in grades K – 12
- Greater Cincinnati Water Works – will not disconnect
- Cox Communications – discounted computers; first month of internet free
- Digital Literacy, Inclusion & Safety Council – learn about low-cost internet access, remote learning tools, and discounted devices
Social Services:
- Freestore Foodbank – distributing pre-packed boxes for families in need from 9 AM – 3 PM
- St. Vincent de Paul – Food pantry is offering pre-packed food boxes
- Hamilton County Job & Family Services – recommend all business be done online or over the phone; strongly advise not to visit JFS office
- Dress for Success Cincinnati – programs suspended; remote coaching available, contact Dubonna at ddawkins@dfscincy.org
- Hamilton County Community Action Agency – Headstart closed at least through April 3; mobile pantry will be held as scheduled; still accepting online applications
- expensify.org – offering up to $50 for SNAP participants, one time only
- Chamber of Commerce – website includes list of restaurants offering free or reduced-price meals
Childcare:
- Waverly Hope Childcare – will accept all children of firefighters, police and healthcare workers, regardless of income
- Hamilton County Job & Family Services – still accepting applications online for pandemic workers; will not have to pay fees for missed days
- YWCA – most centers open for business, can speak with site supervisor to discuss payment arrangements
Education:
- Cincinnati Public Schools – all schools closed until at least April 6; school-work packets can be printed for free at local Staples stores; breakfast and lunch available, visit cps-k12.org for more information
- Public Library – all branches closed; curbside lunch available for K – 12 students; no fines for late materials
Transportation:
- Metro – full service through Saturday; beginning Sunday, March 29, will be free to ride but will have fewer routes
- TANK – reduced routes but free throughout the emergency
Healthcare:
- Talbert House – outpatient services still available, no appointment necessary
- National Suicide Prevention Lifeline – text “talk” to 741741 or call 1-800-273-TALK
I was doing Lawn Service but due to the Corona I have not been working I was getting paid cash I started a month ago maybe two here in Jacksonville Florida I’m from Georgia I was incarcerated in off the streets for 15 years I became a resident here in Jacksonville November 11th 2018 I supposed to have a court date fat for July 21st this year for my SSI but as of now I have no income no benefits what do I need to do I have nothing accept food stamps and I won’t get those until 17 of this month and it’s not much
