When Matt Scherocman first visited Cincinnati Works, he was no stranger to community service. His time as a Scout laid the foundation for a life of service, and he knew he wanted to volunteer in ways that made lasting, sustainable change.
After seeing Cincinnati Works featured in the Cincinnati Business Courier, Matt decided to learn more and attended a prospect event. There, he met a Member in the elevator wearing a large, shiny key around his neck. The Member proudly explained that it was the key to his new apartment, which he was able to secure with support from Cincinnati Works after experiencing homelessness.
From that moment, Matt was committed to the mission of Cincinnati Works. At the time an employee of Microsoft, Matt began volunteering as a mock interviewer and serving on committees to recruit new employment partners. In the years since then, he has become one of our most dedicated supporters.
In 2011, Matt founded Interlink Cloud Advisors, a Cincinnati-based IT company that has grown to become one of the top 10 Microsoft Partners worldwide. As CEO, Matt leads Interlink with the same spirit of service that guides his personal life, sponsoring Cincinnati Works among other nonprofit partners and encouraging volunteerism among his staff. This commitment to servant leadership is just one reason why Interlink has five times been awarded Cincinnati Business Courier‘s Best Place to Work award in the Small Business category.
This year, Interlink celebrates its 15th Anniversary as Cincinnati Works marks its 30th. For more than half of Cincinnati Works’ story, Matt’s generosity of time, talent, and treasure has helped countless Members launch careers and reach important milestones, like getting their first apartment. Through his personal involvement and the culture he’s built at Interlink Cloud Advisors, Matt continues to model servant leadership in action. We are grateful for the example he sets and proud to partner with someone whose commitment continues to open doors for others across our city.
Thank you, Matt.
