Cincinnati Works Members are Members for life, and Rebecca Eubanks is no exception. Rebecca first connected with Cincinnati Works in March 2005. At the time, she was unemployed but continuing to manage her obligations as a homeowner. She enrolled in the JumpStart job readiness workshop, participated in financial literacy training, mock interviews, and employment preparation. Through our partnership with Dress for Success, she received workplace attire to make strong impressions in interviews.
A month later, Rebecca secured a position with Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, where she remains employed today. She currently serves as a Coordinator/Food Services Assistant, turning an initial employment opportunity into a lasting career. Her career stability has supported her housing stability, allowing her to stay in the same home for the last 21 years.
She returned to Cincinnati Works in 2024 for financial coaching and employment advancement. Her work with her financial coach has helped her prepare for retirement and connect with resources to make home improvement affordable, including assistance with windows and doors through Stockyard Bank and Working in Neighborhoods.
Today, Rebecca’s story reflects more than finding a job. It represents long-term employment, financial growth, and sustained homeownership, showing how early support and access to resources can have an impact that continues decades later.
